I have over 30 years’ professional and operational leadership experience in community pharmacy.
I’m the former Superintendent Pharmacist of Well Pharmacy (The Co-operative Pharmacy), responsible for patient safety & wellbeing, regulatory & professional standards and delivery of the NHS contractual framework and services. I was also a board member of the Company Chemists’ Association and the PSNC (CPE) Committee. Additionally, I am the former chair of the Community Pharmacy Patient Safety Group.
My passion is making a difference to community pharmacy and since leaving Well I’m delighted to be appointed as the Executive Chair of Greater Manchester LPC. This complements my role on various NHS advisory groups and chairing the RPS Community Pharmacy Expert Advisory Group.
One of my proudest moment was being made a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and a Visiting Professor in Community Pharmacy at Keele University in recognition of my contribution to the profession through my work on patient safety, standards, and governance.
I love spending time helping professionals and organisations be the best they can be by utilising the skills and knowledge from my ILM7 Coaching course. I also put these skills into practice whilst working as a NED and trustee of a multi-academy trust.

I have worked in the pharmacy industry for over 30 years, most of it working for some of the UK’s largest pharmacy multiples.
I have extensive experience in Field Operations, and in Pharmacy Regulation and Standards. Most recently I was responsible for the professional corporate governance framework of the UK’s largest independently owned pharmacy business alongside professional and regulatory standards, and patient safety and experience.
Since leaving my last role, I have been working with a large Local Pharmaceutical Committee, writing toolkits to support contractors in delivering NHS services. I’ve also spent some time delivering vaccination techniques and basic life support as part of the training requirements for the NHS flu and Covid-19 vaccination programmes.
It’s important to me that I keep in touch with the “grass roots” of pharmacy so I work occasional locum shifts to ensure that I can see how changes to policy, regulation, and services land with pharmacy teams.
I’m passionate about making a difference for patients and pharmacy teams. Using the skills and expertise gained from my experience and my ILM7 coaching course, I can help you to create a professional, profitable business that delivers a high standard of care for your patients and customers.
I’m also a former member of the Community Pharmacy Patient Safety Group and Manchester LPC.
